Turf Update: November 2008

Wow!  Things are really starting to shape up and if you drive by Mazengarb reserve you can see the essence of the new facility growing daily. 

 The eight light columns are all up with 37 out of 40 lights now mounted.  The pump house and switch room has been built and water storage tanks have arrived and are beginning to be fitted into place.  Fencing inner and outer fences has begun, and the edge beams are being poured.

 The next major stages are the completion of the car park, the footpaths, impervious surfacing of the field and – finally – the laying of artificial turf.

 All going well, the facility should be open in February 2009.  The facility will be suitable for hockey, touch rugby, soccer training and a wide range of field sports and events.
